With more than 20 years as a professor and consulting meteorologist, Dr. Hennon specializes in hurricane wind analysis and impacts, historical weather reconstruction, weather radar interpretation, and severe weather. He has published over 35 papers in professional journals and conference proceedings, including a book chapter on modern hurricane wind observation. As a certified consulting meteorologist (CCM), Dr. Hennon has provided expert witness depositions and testimony in civil and criminal cases requiring weather data reconstruction/interpretation and assembled dozens of expert research and reports for a wide variety of client needs. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the Association of Certified Meteorologists.
