Dr. Celia D. Chao is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, and management of a wide range of ocular diseases. She is currently an Associate Comprehensive Ophthalmologist in Los Angeles, where she provides medical and surgical treatment including cataract surgery, pterygium excision, YAG capsulotomy, intravitreal injections, panretinal photocoagulation, glaucoma management, and uveitis care.

Her clinical training includes an ophthalmology residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California. She completed her traditional rotating internship at Harnett Health Systems in North Carolina in 2017, following her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Touro University California. She began her academic path at the University of Maryland Honors Program before earning her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.

Fluent in colloquial Mandarin and medical Spanish for ophthalmology, Dr. Chao has been active in professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, and the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California. She remains committed to advancing patient-centered eye care, medical education, and community outreach.
