Ms. Breedlove is a seasoned fingerprint examiner and contributes to the development of national standards for fingerprint professionals. Since 2009, she has worked extensively in the analysis, comparison, and evaluation of fingerprint evidence. Her participation in establishing standards and best practice recommendations ensures her work aligns with the most current guidelines and methodologies in the industry.
A recognized expert in her field, she is an active member of multiple professional organizations, a frequent conference presenter, and a respected instructor both in the United States and internationally. Her teaching experience covers a wide range of fingerprint-related topics, and she is trusted by agencies and examiners worldwide to deliver high-quality training.

- Q: On how many occasions have you been retained as an expert?
- A: In the private sector (not including thirteen years working in law enforcement), I have been retained as an expert seven times.
- Q: For what area(s) of expertise have you been retained as an expert?
- A: I have been retained in the area of fingerprints and fingerprint evidence. Specifically I have performed analysis, comparison, and evaluation of fingerprint evidence in a case; reviewed the work and reports of the prosecution's fingerprint experts; and reviewed the internal SOPs of the agencies the prosecution's fingerprint experts are employed with, for adherence to current industry standards. I have also assisted in preparing questions for the cross-examination of the prosecution's fingerprint experts, and slideshow presentations for clients to use during cross-examination.
- Q: In what percentage of your cases were you retained by the plaintiff?
- A: Approximately fifteen percent of my cases for the private sector (i.e. not including my time employed by law enforcement) have been for the plaintiff.
- Q: In what percentage of your cases were you retained by the defendant?
- A: Approximately eighty-five percent of my cases for the private sector (i.e. not including my time employed by law enforcement) have been for the defendant.
- Q: On how many occasions have you been qualified by a court to give expert testimony?
- A: I have qualified by a court to give expert testimony seventeen times.
- Q: For how many years have you worked with the legal industry as an expert?
- A: I have been employed as an expert in the industry since 2009. My first thirteen years were spent working for law enforcement agencies, and I have been in the private sector ever since.
