Dr. Artak Mkrtchyan is a board-certified internal medicine physician currently practicing as a hospitalist at Facey Medical Group in Mission Hills, California. He provides comprehensive inpatient care, managing complex medical conditions and coordinating multidisciplinary treatment plans for hospitalized patients.

Dr. Mkrtchyan earned his Doctor of Medicine from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia in 1995 and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the Center for Trauma and Orthopedics in Yerevan from 1995 to 1998. He later pursued internal medicine residency training at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Michigan, completing the program in 2021.

Certified in internal medicine, Dr. Mkrtchyan is skilled in a variety of advanced clinical procedures, including endotracheal intubation, arterial line and central venous catheter placement, and is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Fluent in Armenian, Russian, and English, Dr. Mkrtchyan combines extensive international medical training with practical experience in U.S. healthcare systems. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports such as tennis, ping-pong, and karate, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Karmen Tovmasyan, RN, BSN, and their four children: Alex, Aram, David, and Elizabeth.
