Dr. Anje’le Alston is a board-certified internal medicine physician and fellowship-trained primary care sports medicine specialist. She is a practicing internal medicine and sports medicine physician, providing comprehensive outpatient care that includes chronic disease management, preventive care, musculoskeletal injury evaluation and treatment, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr. Alston completed her Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Intermountain Health in Provo, Utah, where she gained advanced training in musculoskeletal medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, concussion management, and athlete care. During fellowship, she served as a team physician for high school and Division I collegiate programs, providing sideline coverage, injury evaluation, and multidisciplinary care coordination to optimize athlete health and performance.
She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of California, Riverside, where she received both the Internal Medicine Resident of the Year (2023) and Internal Medicine Intern of the Year (2021) awards. Her residency training included comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership roles including serving on the Bioethics Committee and as a bargaining team member for the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU.
Dr. Alston earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Western University of Health Sciences, where she was an active member and leader in the Student National Medical Association and received multiple scholarships. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California, where she served as a student athletic trainer for collegiate athletes.
Her research and scholarly contributions include national presentations at the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, focusing on topics such as sudden cardiac death in athletes and hip dislocation prevention.
Dr. Alston holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Primary Care Sports Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
