Dr. Andres Romero is a double-board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases with an active California medical license. He completed Internal Medicine residency training at Yale–New Haven Hospital and Infectious Diseases fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, including focused experience in immunocompromised patients.
Dr. Romero maintains an active clinical practice across hospital, outpatient, wound care, and post-acute settings, caring for patients with complex infectious diseases. He also serves as Chief Health Officer of a full-service acute care hospital, where his leadership experience includes infection prevention and control, antimicrobial stewardship, peer review, patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory readiness.
An important part of his professional background is resident education. Dr. Romero serves as core faculty in an Internal Medicine residency program, where he teaches evidence-based medicine, clinical reasoning, and infectious disease management. His combined training, active practice, leadership, and teaching experience provide a strong foundation for expert review of infection-related standards of care.
