His fellowship included multidisciplinary training in both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery.
Dr. Ghori is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has been in continuous clinical practice since completing fellowship training. His surgical expertise includes anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), cervical disc arthroplasty, lumbar decompression surgery, lumbar fusion procedures including TLIF, PLIF, and ALIF, pedicle screw instrumentation, lumbar disc replacement, spinal navigation, revision spine surgery, thoracolumbar trauma stabilization, spinal tumor decompression and stabilization, spinal infection management, scoliosis surgery, and complex spinal deformity reconstruction.
Dr. Ghori provides expert consultation in cases involving spinal surgery, spinal injury, and disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. He has reviewed more than 20 medico-legal cases involving spinal surgery and spinal disorders and works with both plaintiff and defense counsel.
His expert work focuses on spine surgery standard of care, medical causation, appropriateness of surgical indications, and evaluation of complications following spinal surgery. A key component of his approach is integrating detailed review of the medical record with analysis of the peer-reviewed spine surgery literature. This allows attorneys to understand both the supporting and opposing scientific evidence relevant to a case before deposition or trial.
Areas of analysis include spinal surgery standard of care, delayed diagnosis of spinal cord compression, cervical myelopathy management, spinal trauma treatment, complications following ACDF or cervical disc replacement, lumbar fusion indications and complications, management of spinal infections, and postoperative neurologic deficits.
Dr. Ghori has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in orthopaedic and spine surgery literature and has contributed book chapters on spine surgery topics. Because he remains an actively practicing spine surgeon performing hundreds of procedures each year, he provides expert opinions grounded in current surgical practice and contemporary standards of spine care.
Dr. Ghori is available nationwide for medical record review, standard-of-care analysis, medical causation evaluation, deposition testimony, and trial testimony.
