Richard Khorigan is a New York-based civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience specializing in highway and bridge construction projects. His expertise includes construction management and engineering, construction safety issues, work zone traffic control, claims analysis, project scheduling, utility work, earthwork and cost analysis. In addition to his extensive design and field engineering experience, Richard also taught courses at Farmingdale State College in construction estimating and project management.

Richard has been directly involved in the engineering, estimating, and project management of complex highway and bridge construction projects. His project experience notably included the Long Island Expressway, the Gowanus Expressway, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the NJ Turnpike, where he worked with some of the largest regional construction firms on projects for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the New York City Department of Transportation, and the New York State Department of Transportation.

Richard is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states. He earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from the Pratt Institute, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Saint John’s University, where he later earned a Master of Business Administration Degree. Rich’s forensic casework typically involves construction claims and safety issues related to bridge and roadway projects, including New York Labor Law disputes.
