Rebecca Roy, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Los Angeles. Dr. Roy specializes in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and has comprehensive experience in the analysis and treatment of complex trauma. Her original research and new approach to treating trauma, Trauma Body-Mind Reintegration Therapy, was presented to the American Psychological Association (Psychoanalysis Division) in 2013.
Dr. Roy obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology after practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for several years. Dr. Roy also has extensive experience in the analysis and treatment of anxiety, depression and Bipolar Disorder.
Dr. Roy graduated from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2012 with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She earned her master’s in Clinical Psychology in 2005. Dr. Roy completed her post-doctoral training in forensic psychology and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Roy has been featured as a mental health expert in The New York Times, L.A. Times, CNN, World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer, Reuters and other major media as well as various television shows.
