Introduction

Dr. Peter Woodlock is a Professor and Former Chair of the Lariccia School of Accounting at Youngstown State University. He is the past Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board for CPA Voice, a professional and academic journal published monthly by the Ohio Society of CPAs. CPA Voice has 23,000 subscribers. Pete also served as past chair of NACVA’s Education Quality Assurance Board (2010-2011) and was a member of this Board (2010-2014). Pete was one of three lead consultants charged with redesigning the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) Exam in 2010.

Pete has taught a number of courses in accounting and finance, including intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, advanced accounting, financial accounting and advanced business finance at the undergraduate level. He has also taught courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting and business valuation at the graduate level.

Pete has worked in both industry and public accounting. He has performed nearly 300 valuations for clients, including those used for gift and estate tax purposes, financial reporting purposes, buy/sell purposes and litigation purposes.
