Introduction

Dr. Bronston is National Chairman of the Ethics and Professional Policy Committee of The American College of Medical Quality. He is an Emergency Medicine Physician in active practice in Southern California and a physician reviewer for HGS which is the Quality Improvement Organization for the State of California. He has been a special consultant on HMOs for the California Department of Managed Health Care and on quality assurance standards for the Division of Worker' Compensation Compensation for the State of California. He has been a medical expert/consultant for the California Medical Board with over a decade.

Dr. Bronston has served as a physician advisor for numerous private utilization review organizations, former sub-committee chairman on Economic Credentialing for the American College of Emergency Physicians and a co-author on Managed Care in Emergency Medicine published in the textbook Emergency Medicine Risk Management published by the American College of Emergency Physicians. He was an expert witness in Wilson vs. Blue Cross of Southern California. Dr. Bronston has been a consultant/expert for over two decades in many medical malpractice and bad faith cases both for the plaintiff and defense.
