Providing their expertise in criminal investigation procedures to attorneys nationwide, retired NYPD Detectives John J. Baeza and Joseph Guida use their combined 35+ years of law enforcement experience to consult on topics such as police misconduct, false arrest, wrongful conviction, excessive force, police practices and procedures, false allegations, interview techniques, and criminal profiles, among others. Their criminal investigative experience includes homicide, rape & sexual assault, narcotics, domestic violence, and child abuse.

Det. John J. Baeza, NYPD (ret.), D-IAFI, began as a New York State correction officer, and went on to serve as a New York City undercover Police Officer and Detective in several investigative units including Manhattan North Narcotics and Major Case, as well as the Manhattan Special Victims Squad.

Det. Joseph Guida, NYPD (ret.), D-IAFI, started his law enforcement career as a Police Officer with the New York City Police Department. He went on to work as an undercover officer and an investigator in Brooklyn North Narcotics and Manhattan North Narcotics as well as a Detective in the South Bronx's 46th Precinct Domestic Violence Unit.

Since retiring from the NYPD, in addition to their police practices consulting, Baeza and Guida have taught criminal investigative procedures internationally, become active diplomates in the International Association of Forensic Investigators, and directed security for two United States presidential campaigns.
