Introduction

I have 30 years of experience specializing in Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics, and Occupational Health and Safety. I am a full professor at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada and the founder and president of WSC Work Safety Consultants. I have conducted numerous ergonomics and OHS projects in a variety of industries such as Purolator, Canroof corporation Inc., Mevotech, coke Canada, Military, Centre for independent living, Scott mixer, Marsan, Mondelez, Ariva Canada, Epri USA, Hydrovac Canada and many others.
I was involved as an expert witness in two cases, both related to returning to work. I acted as an ergonomist consultant in a falling case to support a law firm in Canada. I have conducted hundreds of ergonomics assessments in the construction, manufacturing, mining, and health sectors as well as small businesses.
