Introduction

Dr. Joseph Schwartz has specialized in clinical, school, and forensic psychology for over 35 years. He has assisted attorneys addressing legal questions pertinent to high conflict co-parenting difficulties, domestic violence and abuse, violence and sex offender risk assessment, psycho-sexual issues, developmental disorders,learning disabilities, head injury, neuropsychological functioning, cognitive ability, psychological/emotional damage for Family Law, Criminal, and Civil Court. He has provided expert advice and legal consultation regarding various parenting and psychological issues including: Psychological Testing, Parenting Plans, Expert Witness Testimony, School and Home Evaluations. Dr. Schwartz travels to evaluate all parties and testify when needed. He thoroughly interviews and all parties and records investigative sessions with consents if needed. Dr. Schwartz's reports are quite detailed and in depth but easily read with extensive clinical and investigative data supporting the report's opinion, summary and recommendations.
Dr. Schwartz is a graduate of Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in New York, where he received his training in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Schwartz was the recipient of a Post-Doctoral Fellowship to the Regent Hospital NYC. In addition, he had the privilege personally studying under two of psychology's most influential figures: Dr. Albert Ellis the leader in the development of Rational Emotive Therapy, one of the most effective forms of cognitive therapy and Dr. Arnold Lazarus, world renowned author and pioneer in the field of behavior therapy. Dr. Schwartz is licensed in Delaware and New York. He is a member of the DE Psychological Association and American Psychological Association as well as the National Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Early in his career, he was Superintendent"s Appointee as Team Leader of the Crisis Response Team for Staten Island High Schools. Dr. Schwartz has worked his entire career in school, clinic and hospital settings treating a diverse population of clients with major psychiatric diagnoses.

A Law Firm in DE had me prepared to give a Deposition March 2019, but because my Report was so well written their Expert had to admit his inconsistencies in his Opinion and there was no need for my Deposition.

For Depositions testimony, I bill $2,800 per day with a half-day minimum of $1,500. The half-day rate
shall be charged for any deposition or courtroom testimony running from zero to four
hours.The full day rate shall be charged for any deposition or courtroom testimony
running from four to eight hours.

A: For work of a non-testimonial nature, including but not limited to psychological
evaluations, written or oral reports, consultations with attorneys of their agents, review of
records and any travel pursuant to the above, the fee will be $350/hour or portion thereof.
My fees are calculated in 1/4 hour increments. Appointments missed without cancellation
will be billed at the usual rate.
II. For work of a testimonial nature, including travel to the site at which testimony shall be
given and anytime spent waiting to give testimony, the fee will be $350/hour or portion
thereof.
For any work requiring travel outside of Sussex County, Delaware, reasonable travel costs
will be reimbursed. Deposition and Courtroom Testimony. For depositions or courtroom
testimony, I bill $2,800 per day with a half-day minimum of $1,500. The half-day rate
shall be charged for any deposition or courtroom testimony running from zero to four
hours. The full day rate shall be charged for any deposition or courtroom testimony
running from four to eight hours.
Costs for materials, photocopying, duplication of tapes and other costs incidental to the
performance of work that the client requests will be charged separately and are the client's
responsibility.
