Introduction

Dr. Joseph Guth has in-depth expertise in many fields of toxic and hazard assessment, as well as a very broad background in both academia and industry. A chemist and biochemist, he has conducted medical and industrial hygiene laboratory and field research, taught university courses and offered his independent expertise in hundreds of civil and criminal cases since 1979. He has also been a consultant and peer reviewer for EPA and NIOSH. He currently specializes in toxic torts and related matters, including asbestos, lead, petroleum and solvent exposures, silica exposure, pesticide exposures, fume, smoke and dust exposures, other hazardous or carcinogenic chemical, radiation and microbiological exposures for risk assessments both inside and outside of the workplace.
