Dr. Handelsman is a Pediatric Orthopaedist with over 40 years experience.
During this period, he initially directed the first Pediatric Orthopaedic Program at Stony Brook University Medical Center and concurrently the Program at Nassau University Medical Center, then Pediatric Orthopaedics at Rhode Island Hospital of Brown University, and more recently, the Orthopaedic Service at Schneider Children’s Hospital (Cohen Children’s Medical Center), Northwell Health.
He is presently in active practice and has clinical appointments at NYU Langone Orthopedic and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospitals at NYU Langone, Cohen Children’s Medical Center of Northwell Health and Nassau University Medical Center.
He serves academically as Clinical Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery and Pediatrics, School of Medicine, Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery, New York University, Manhattan, New York.
