Dr. Williams is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association and serves on the ABA Criminal Justice Committee. He is a Certified Forensic Consultant with the American College of Forensic Examiners and a retired chief of USDOJ organized crime task forces worldwide. He is a visiting Adjunct Professor for Criminal Justice Studies at Rowan University. He has been admitted in Federal and State Courts as a Police Expert in the specialties of Police Policy, Practice and Procedure and has met the stringent Daubert Challenges. Dr. Williams has appeared on national television and media talk shows as an Expert Consultant on police related topics and programs. Headquartered in New Jersey, J.A. Williams Associates (JAWA) maintains liaison offices and Expert Law Enforcement Associates in Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida and the District of Columbia. Dr. Williams and JAWA Associates provide Police Consulting and Expert Witness Testimony for both Plaintiff and Defense Attorneys in Law Enforcement, Police Operations and Police Training matters.

James A. Williams is a former Municipal Chief of Police. He retired from the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration as Deputy Associate Special Agent In Charge and Chief of Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces worldwide. His career management positions included Chief of Divisional Intelligence, Chief of International Law Enforcement Training, Chief of International Mobile Units, Senior Drug Policy Advisor to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and United States Country Attaché’ on Diplomatic Assignments worldwide.
