Jack Spadaro is a mining engineer with expertise in coal and metal/non-metal mine safety and health. He is the former Director of the National Mine Health and Safety Academy. He has over 40 years experience investigating mining accidents. He also has experience regarding the evaluation and remediation of mining environmental hazards such as landslides, flooding, and water contamination. He has served as an expert witness in Federal District Courts and State Circuit Courts regarding the causes of mining accidents and environmental damage. He has expertise regarding MSHA regulations. He also has expertise regarding the Suface Mining Control and Reclamation Act.
