A: Ms. Wood is a Certified MCLE Ethics Provider and she presents or moderates several ethics program every year to various bar associations on all areas of ethics and law practice management. She has taught professional responsibility at DePaul University College of Law and The John Marshall Law School. Previously, she taught pre-trial and trial advocacy courses.

In the first case, the matter ended on summary judgment and in the second matter the parties settled prior to trial.

Q: For how many years have you worked with the legal industry as an expert?
A: I have 29 years of legal experience. I served 7 years as a Hearing Board Chair for the disciplinary agency in Illinois; and almost 4 years as Litigation Counsel for the same agency. I left the agency in 2011 to start my own firm representing attorneys who face disciplinary claims and law students who face Character & Fitness challenges. Given the fact that I am a frequent ethics speaker and I write about ethics in The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, I soon started receiving requests to provide ethics evaluations and testimony in legal malpractice cases.

A: I can provide an ethics evaluation of your legal malpractice case; and a comprehensive report of the ethics rules that impact your case. Given my 29 years of litigation experience, I can also provide an independent assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your case.
