Martin Carmody certainly knows a thing or two about glass and ceramics. With a degree in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Missouri, he has almost 17 years of experience working in the glass and ceramic industries. This has included container manufacturing, flat glass, fiberglass, and specialty glass products. As a hands-on manufacturing engineer he has designed complete glass factories and spent time working in plants all over the world. As a forensic engineer and consultant, he has been involved in over 50 cases related to glass and ceramic product liability, as well as combustion related accidents and injuries. He is a trained fractologist, and he has personal facilities and equipment to determine the cause of material failures. He has worked for the U.S. Department of Energy, public universities, the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense, and has designed and built glass factories and manufacturing processes in the U.S. and abroad.
