Introduction

Peggy Liu is a Registered Architect with 20 years of professional experience in architectural design, construction, and project management. Peggy joined Robson Forensic after spending a decade working for the New York City Department of Buildings, culminating as a Code Development Architect. Peggy applies her expertise to forensic casework involving premises liability disputes, construction claims and flood damage claims in flood hazard areas. Peggy is certified by the National Council of Registration Boards (NCARB) with registrations in New Jersey and New York.

Having overseen projects from initial concept through completion, she has in-depth knowledge of the building industry and the relationship between design elements within the built environment and safety and accessibility. Peggy’s forensic casework examines disputes related to large scale projects, as well as safety concerns over smaller individual design elements such as walkways, stairs, handrails, and lighting.

Peggy is well-versed in building and construction codes as they apply to housing, hotels, and commercial properties. Her work experience includes a wide range of building and facility types, from multi-residential and commercial occupancies to single-family residences, high-rise construction, and mixed-use buildings. At the NYC Dept of Buildings, Peggy was also a subject matter expert in flood zone compliance and is proficient in FEMA regulations for management of flood hazard areas. She is an ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).

Peggy earned her Master of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science, double major in Management Information Systems and Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
