Dr. Lu is a graduate of the University of Science and Technology of China with a Bachelor degree in Biology, and from the University of Michigan with a Master degree in Biology. She also holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University.
While at Wayne State, Ying was trained in Engineering Physiology, Impact Biomechanics, and Bioengineering Mathematical Modeling. During her four years as a research assistant, she participated in the investigation of injury mechanisms of whiplash injury using biomechanical and neurophysiologic methods.
Ying’s special interests include biomedical analysis, occupant kinematics, and injury causation mechanisms.
