 Thomas  M. DeStafney, M.E.C.E., P.E.

Mr. DeStafney is CED/Accident Analysis Inc.’s senior civil engineer and is additionally qualified as a registered professional civil engineer. Mr. Destafney has been with CED/AAI since 1998 and has rendered opinions with deposition and trial testimony on a variety of civil engineering liability claims. Prior to joining the CED/Accident Analysis team, Mr. Destafney spent 20 years as a U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer, retiring with the rank of Commander in 1999. During his twenty years of naval service, Mr. Destafney oversaw major construction projects, including the quality and safety programs for each project, that included airfields, power plants, water and waste water systems, roads and highways, pile driving, dredge and quarry sites, new buildings and building renovations, and EIFS claddings. As CED/AAI's Senior Civil Engineer, Mr. Destafney also has expertise in the areas of hurricane damage and wind/water assessments.
