Steve Appelbaum has trained over 9,000 dogs in his twenty-five year career. During this time, Mr. Appelbaum worked with every recognized AKC breed, specializing in behavior problem analysis and problem solving. Steve is also an expert on small business marketing. He consults with professional dog trainers about how they can more effectively run their businesses. Steve is the President of Animal Behavior and Training Associates (ABTA), which was from 1994 through 2004 the largest training company in North America. At its peak, ABTA employed over 500 trainers in forty plus states and five Canadian provinces. Today, Steve is the President of Animal Behavior College, a national school devoted to training the next generation of dog trainers. He has worked on a number of legal cases. Finally, Steve writes a column for a dog behavior magazine and has given lectures across the country on behavior and marketing.
