Dr. Read, a practicing psychiatrist for twenty years, has qualified as a medical psychiatric expert witness in over 400 cases in federal and multiple state courts in matters regarding:

Capacity, testimentary capacity, diminished capacity, conservatorship, competence to testify, undue influence, elder abuse, financial abuse, skilled nursing (SNF), quality of care for dementia patients, Alzheimer's Disease, frontal lobe, stroke and vascular dementias, Parkinson's disease, hydrocephalus, personal injury, and the Americans with Disability Act (ADA.

He is Clinical Professor at UCLA, board certified in Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Geriatric Psychiatry. He maintains a private practice and is on the medical staff at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital and Greater Los Angeles VAHCS.
