Dr. Lerner is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has been especially interested in bacterial infections and their treatment with antibiotics. He has great experience in the treatment of antibiotic-resistant infections, and in the toxicity of antibiotics, especially the aminoglycosides.
