Sandra Homewood is ABFDE certified with more than 30 years experience as a Forensic Document Examiner; currently in private civil practice with law enforcement lab training plus specialized supplemental training with the FBI & U.S. SECRET SERVICE. Her government work experience includes the San Diego Police Department Crime Lab (9 years); Arizona State Crime Lab (3 years); and San Diego District Attorney's Office (5 years). She began her full time private civil practice in 1991.

She specializes in the examination and identification of handwriting, handprinting, typewriting; detection of forgeries and counterfeits; and resolving issues of altered medical and business records. She also specializes in the examination of handwriting of the elderly in probate and financial elder abuse cases.

She has extensive experience testifying as an expert witness in deposition, and Municipal, Superior and Federal Courts.

Ms. Homewood examines documents in CIVIL cases for Attorneys, insurance companies and corporations. She also examines documents in CRIMINAL cases for the San Diego, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo District Attorney Offices; the U.S. Attorney's Office, and State Attorney General's Office.
