Richard N. Ernest is an award winning forensic scientist and Crime Laboratory Director with over 29 years of experience in the field of forensic firearms and tool mark identification. He is a member of numerous scientific professional organizations and is a Distinguished Lifetime Member and Certified Firearms Examiner of AFTE – the Association of Firearms and Tool Mark Examiners. Alliance Forensics Laboratory, where Mr. Ernest is the lab director, is an independent laboratory which conducts laboratory examinations on all firearms and forensic ballistics related evidence. It is an ASCLD-LAB accredited laboratory and is accredited through the Texas DPS Crime Lab System.
