Introduction

Mark conducts forensic investigations nationwide; he is licensed as a professional engineer in more than twenty states and is also licensed as a Special (Threshold) Inspector in the State of Florida. Mark regularly investigates matters related to structural causation, building design and inspection, structural collapses, professional liability, standard of care, and building defects. His expertise extends to wind engineering; specifically, how wind acts upon structures and how structures react to the wind.

In more than 34 years as a structural engineer, Mark has designed and inspected a broad range of building types, including residential, commercial, marine, industrial, institutional, religious, retail, hi-rise, and warehouse. His experience includes nearly every type of building material, including concrete, steel, wood, masonry and many other types.

Mark has contributed to the rewriting of structural portions of the building code. He provides consultation to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in professional liability matters and has also provided professional opinions on matters related to value engineering, code compliance, structural causation, and professional standard of care. Mark is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute and is also a State of Florida Special (Threshold) Inspector and is licensed as a Professional Engineer (Structural) in multiple states.
