Dr. Fitzgerald is one of the most well-known authorities on sexual harassment in the United States. The author of over 100 scholarly articles, and 3 books, she is also a licensed psychologist who has conducted independent medical evaluations of over 200 plaintiffs at the request of both plaintiff and defense attorneys. Her work is required reading in some of the country's most prestigious law schools, and is regularly cited in appellate proceedings and has been cited to the Supreme Court. Dr. Fitzgerald has been qualified as an expert in numerous federal and state jurisdictions and has testified in numerous employment discrimination cases, particularly those having to do with sexual harassment. She has served as an expert for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, and consults on the sexual harassment prevention and assessment program of the U.S. Department of Defense. She has conducted numerous CLE sessions, including the American Bar Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. A triple Fellow of the American Psychological Association, she received APA's prestigious Senior Career Award for Distinguished Contributions to Research in Public Policy.
