Dr. Knott is a retired Industrial Engineering Professor, with Ph.D. and P.E. He specializes in products liability, safeguarding machines and the workplace. His excellent academic career has been supplemented by extensive shop floor training and experience. Dr. Knott worked as an engineer, consultant, lecturer and educator in five countries, and almost 30 different industries for more than 45 years. Dr. Knott has received national and international awards and recognition as an engineer and educator. His writings on technical subjects have appeared in books and professional and technical journals. While acting as an expert witness, Dr. Knott has written reports, appeared in court, been deposed, and successful in a Daubert defense.
