Jeff Eiser has 29 years of practical work experience in the administration of one of the largest local corrections systems in the United States. He has extensive experience and expertise in the operation and staffing of small, medium and large jail facilities.

A: 15 years, since 1994. I only accepted a few cases a year since I was still a working professional. I retired from full-time employment in February 2009 so I am now accepting more cases.

A: I provide five types of services:
1) Investigate a particular scene or event, research everything available on the
subject, and then analyze and evaluate the findings.
2) Evaluate the merits of a potential claim and document my work with a written
report on my findings. I will express my opinion about the cause of the
problem and the merits of the claim.
3) Recommend certain aspects of litigation strategy since corrections/jail
litigation is very foreign to most attorneys. I will suggest other areas to
be investigated or tested. I am aware of opposing experts and can project the
arguments he/she may use.
4) I will testify in depositions and at trial to explain and then defend the
opinions and conclusions I have formulated. I can appear before administrative
hearings.
5) I will help you understand complex matters and little-known procedures
involved in correctional facilities. I will assist you in gaining enough
knowledge of the corrections/jail issue(s) to effectively cross-examine the
opposing lay and expert witnesses.

A: I do not charge to consult with an attorney. If the attorney wishes to use my services, I charge a retainer of $1000 (Payable by client at the start of case, first 7 hours of work will be deducted from this retainer)
