A: Drawing on the work of her colleagues in the Secret Service, The FBI and other authorities from around the world, Ms. Joseph has published and presented her research papers to other handwriting examiners nationwide. On occasion, she has taught in the Criminology Department at Portland State University. Along with Marcel Matley, she wrote, produced and presented a course titled “The Two Pillars of Individuality and Identifiability in Handwriting” to show how to satisfy the standard for identification by explaining the scientific tie between the writer and the written. This course was approved for three semester-credit hours at East Tennessee State University in 2008. Additionally, she has presented to professional organizations including Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and others.

A: From $125.00 to $225.00 as of 8/01/09. The initial consulation is free. Additional charges for rush or emergency cases, and depositions requested by opposing party.
Q: What is your hourly rate to review documents?
A: Document review is based on a range from $125.00 to $225.00 per hour as of 8/01/09. The initial retainer is $900.00. Ms. Joseph may be willing to consider a negotiated flat fee or pro bono work.
Q: What is your hourly rate to provide deposition testimony?
A: As of 8/01/09, the hourly rate is $325.00 per hour with a prepayment minimum of $1,300.00 due three calendar days in advance of scheduled appearance. Pre-paid travel expenses, if needed, are required. Extraordinary fees may apply.

A: A 4-hour pre-paid minimum @ $225.00 per hour.

A: Travel costs are estimated upon request. Out of town travel shall be charged at $95.00 per hour and shall be calculated portal to portal. Extraordinary fees (rush charges/weekends) are $325.00 per hour with an initial non-refundable retainer of $1,500.00.
