A: Mr. Pazos received a M.S. in Naval Architecture and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and he is a Registered Mechanical Professional Engineer in Louisiana, U.S.A.



He completed further studies at Tulane, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Princeton Universities and other institutions.



Mr. Pazos has over 45 years of experience in design, construction, testing, salvage and operations of marine and offshore oil equipment.



After working as a Naval Architect for several shipyards, he started his own consulting firm in 1970 and has been involved in the design and construction of vessels and offshore equipment for some 30 years, and also as an expert in over 1,200 litigations. He has testified numerous times in court or by deposition in several courts, regarding personal injury; slip and fall; tripping, ladders and stairs, cranes; confined space; pipelines; fires and explosions; lifting; personnel transfer; drilling floor accidents, and many cases involving ship and boats collisions, capsizing, ship and boat design and construction, and other incidents related to the marine and offshore oil fields. Mr. Pazos is an amateur artist and often supports his testimony by developing sketches in the courtroom.



He is a boating enthusiast and a sailor and has owned and operated several commercial fishing boats up to 85 feet in length, participated in numerous sea trials of commercial and navy ships, and has authored numerous articles printed in trade magazines.



Mr. Pazos has published two courses in Forensic Engineering in the marine, boating and offshore fields.
