I am a board certified licensed physician in the State of Texas, especially trained in the field of physical medicine rehabilitation. My training and over twelve years of private medical practice in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation includes evaluation, diagnosis, management and formulation of a prognosis for patients with all types of musculoskeletal injuries, including neck and back injuries. As a part of my practice, I routinely make decisions regarding appropriate diagnostic procedures for my patients, to include MRIs, CAT scans and nerve conduction studies. As a further part of my daily treatment of patients, I routinely determine the medical necessity for physical therapy modalities for treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, including those of the type administered by physical therapists, doctors of osteopathy and chiropractors. Additionally, as my medical practice deals daily with such matters, including referral of patients from doctors of osteopathy and chiropractors, I am familiar with the reasonable charges therefore. My training and experience includes evaluation, treatment and management of patients with all forms of musculoskeletal injuries, including all forms of orthopedic injuries, including but not limited to post-operative hip fractures, knee fractures, injuries to the ligaments, meniscus and soft tissues of the knee, shoulder injuries, including dislocations and rotator cuff injuries, as well as other multiple musculoskeletal trauma. My training, practice and expertise also include managing and treating patients with neurological conditions such as stroke and head injuries. My training and twelve years of private practice in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides me with experience and the expertise to evaluate, manage, and treat all forms of musculoskeletal traumatic and non-traumatic injuries, including spinal injuries. This training and practice includes evaluation, diagnosis, conservative management, determination of when to refer the patient for surgery, post-operative management of patients, formulation of prognosis, to include potential incapacity or disability or the lack thereof. I do not perform surgery, but I do evaluate, treat, manage and refer to surgeons when medically necessary. My training and twelve years of private practice in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides me with the experience and expertise to evaluate, manage, and treat all forms of musculoskeletal and traumatic and non-traumatic injuries, including spinal injuries.
