Dr. George Maloof is a traditional Catholic psychiatrist who was recently retained as an expert witness in a case against the Jesuits settled for $1.6 million. He would like to help those who have been abused sexually by Church members in an effort to correct deviations in the Church. He has been practicing psychiatry for 35 years.
As a History of Science Major in the early 1960s I conducted a symposium on Religion and Mental Health for the Harvard Catholic Club. I also organized an International Student Seminar.
After graduating from Harvard College in 1962 I worked for a summer at the Community Mental Health Center of the National Institute of Mental Health. My critique of Soviet psychiatry and other papers earned the commendation of Dr. Bertram Brown, Director of NIMH.
While at Georgetown Medical School I was commended by my professor for a senior thesis critique of all the schools of psychiatry appearing in the Americal Handbook of Psychiatry.
At my first psychiatric residency I treated the wife of a man who was alleged to have been given hallucinogens by the CIA before his reported suicide. I also treated a man who committed suicide after receiving ECT.
Drafted by the Army in 1968 and continuing residency at Letterman General Hospital in San Francisco, I wrote an essay on the definition of mental illness as the consequence of the denial of responsibility of one's acts. It was commended by my supervisor.
After completing my military obligation at Ft. Dix where a recent terrorist plot was uncovered, I finished my psychiatric residency at San Francisco General Hospital where I witnessed a hastened death.
Since beginning practice in 1973 I have been involved as an expert witness in cases involving abortion and euthanasia.
I am a Board Certified Forensic Examiner and have also been a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners since 1996. In September, 2008 I took a short course on the Psychology of Terrorists at the National Conference of the American College of Forensic examiners in San Diego. I am concerned about torture and have read Standard Operating Procedure and The Dark Side about our deviation from our traditional treatment of prisoners. Psychiatrists used the same techniques on detainees employed by the Communists. My work as a psychiatrist for 17 years in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation gave me experience in treating prisoners, including sex abusers.
After 6 years in the Navy Reserve attached to the Marines I ended my 13 years in the military as Chief of Mental Health Services at Vandenberg AFB. While there I presented a paper at a mental health conference on our clinic operation. I also prepared a staff study on the Maryknoll Society raising money from military families to support communist insurgents in Central America. The Commanding General of VAFB sent the study to the Headquarters of Strategic Air Command in San Antonio. As Chairman of the Air War College Seminar I was commended by AWC staff for my paper on the influence of Iran on southern Iraq and the potential for US military involvement in 1984.
I have led a Catholic medical group in San Francisco focusing on the protection of human life at all ages. At our recent 5th Annual St. Luke's Banquet featuring Wesley J. Smith, Esq., author of Forced Exit, I shared a couple of my publications, Physician-Assisted Suicide-Freud's Ultimate Legacy and Abortion and Euthanasia-How Abortion Can Kill You.
My most recent publication appears in the winter edition of Latin Mass Magazine. It documents Freud's agenda of rewriting the Bible and destroying the Catholic Church. It also notes my forthcoming book, Freud as Antichrist-the Badspel according to Sigmund.
