A: For ten years I have offered seminars to Design and Construction professionals focused on moisture movement from and through concrete floor slabs, its affect on modern floor covering systems, including design aspects to prevent floor covering failure and remedial action, when needed.

A: I have been retained for both commercial and residential cases where excessive concrete moisture vapor emission has affected installed floor covering systems. Retentions have included cases from Rhode Island to California and included British Columbia.

Q: For what area(s) of expertise have you been retained as an expert?
A: The subject of retention has always been moisture movement from or through concrete floor slabs and its affect on floor covering systems. Cases have included moisture movement allowed by ineffective sub-slab vapor retarders and poor slab system design. Cases have also included damages resulting from improper concrete dryness testing prior to floor covering installations and the inappropriate selection or application of concrete sealers.

A: Cases have been split close to 50% plaintiff 50% defense. Our function has always been to offer the best data possible and allow that information to guide clients and attorneys.

A: I offer comprehensive concrete dryness testing and site evaluation. I want , when possible, to review construction and pre-construction documents as they relate to cast-in-place concrete slab systems and all floor covering specifications. Reports are written to the depth and breadth required by clients and the available data.

A: My fee for consultation is $200.00/hr. My fee for Depositions or Court is $300.00/hr.

A: Consulting and document review is billed at $200.00/hr.

A: Deposition fee is $300.00/hr plus travel expense, if incurred.
