Mr. Gene W. Summy

Mr. Summy is a licensed ICC building inspector (#5095909) and holds a C6 contractors license (#651281) in the state of California.
He has performed as window and door expert since 1997. He has developed a method for flashing windows and doors that is currently patent pending.
Mr. Summy has written for Builder and Developer magazine. (Subject - Rain related leaks)
Mr. Summy has written for The Journal of Light Construction. (Subject - Flashing recessed windows)
Mr. Summy has developed flashing designs that are used by The Fortifiber Corporation, Top Industrial, Therma-tru, Water Block, and other large building material manufacturers and suppliers.
Mr. Summy is a window and door expert and will demonstrate water intrusion problems as being the result of poor window manufacturing, poor window design and/ or poor installation of the component. Mr. Summy has been certified by the AAMA Window Master Training program.
Mr Summy routinely tests windows and doors in the field using ASTM E 1105 and uses differential pressure when required.
