Mr. Gary A. Derian, PE, is a registered Professional Engineer with a broad background in tire and automotive engineering. He has trained drivers in high performance driving, designed factory automation equipment and has a solid sense of safe engineering and the protection of end users.
Gary worked at BFGoodrich for 12 years where he designed the first US built passenger tire capable of 170+ mph. From BFG, he joined the National Academy for Professional Driving where he developed a drivers training program for Police, Fire and Ambulance drivers. He also performed tire testing and accident reconstruction. His automotive experience was rounded out during his tenure as Chief Engineer at Avanti Automotive Company where he was responsible for all aspects of engineering and manufacturing for the Avanti automobile.
He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and holds two patents for tire design and four other non-tire patents.
