A: A former General Counsel of the Interstate Commerce Commission, Mr. Kahn is a lawyer with more than 50 years of broad transportation regulatory law experience. Mr. Kahn maintains an active practice in Washington, DC, representing states, shippers, short line railroads and motor carriers before the STB, FRA and FMCSA and the reviewing courts. He has been an expert witness in a variety of court cases in which the scope of transportation regulation was an issue. He organized and manages Transportation Arbitration and Mediation, P.L.L.C., which provides knowlegeable and experienced professionals capable of resolving all manner of transportation disputes. Mr. Kahn regularly contributes to transportation law journals. He is a member of the Association of Transportation Professionals, of which he is a past President, the Transportation Research Forum, of which he is a past General Counsel, the American Society of Transportation and Logistics and the Transportation Lawyers Association. Mr. Kahn is a Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Eta Sigma graduate of the George Washington University and an Order of the Coif and Law Review graduate of its National Law Center.
