Professor Dajani has more than 20 years experience in litigation support and testimony for plaintiff and defense attorneys, in both civil and criminal cases, in the fields of clinical pharmacology, toxicology, regulatory affairs, pharmaceuticals, misoprostol (Cytotec), pharmaceutical patent litigations, drug injury causation, drug-related medical malpractice, pharmacy malpractice, medication errors, product liability (e.g., warnings, designs, formulations, labeling), adverse effects of health, beauty products, alcohol and industrial chemicals, forensic aspects of alcohol and drugs, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), pharmacology and toxicology. He provides research, record analysis, merit statement and testimony.
He is the founder of a CRO group and concurrently holds Adjunct Professor of Medicine appointment at Loyola University-Chicago and academic editor appointments for several biomedical journals. He was the former Director of Clinical Research at Searle Laboratories and led the research teams that discovered and developed Cytotec, a worldwide anti-ulcer drug. He was awarded the Edgar M. Queeny Award from Monsanto Company for outstanding achievement and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Purdue University. He taught pharmacology and toxicology to medical, dental and pharmacy students and supervised the research of postdoctoral scientists and gastroenterology fellows. He published some 130 articles, book chapters and patents. He made some 130 presentations at national and international biomedical conferences. He is also a licensed pharmacist in State of Alabama.
