Donald H. Greene incorporated Strategic Security Concepts, Inc in 1996 after having served over twenty-eight (28) years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of investigation, three (3) years as an officer [Capt.] in the U.S. Marine Corps, and two (2) years as Corporate Safety and Security Consultant with a major property owner and developer.
As a Special Agent, Mr. Greene developed and managed projects aimed at attacking persistent crime problems through non-traditional means. He was a police trainer and worked closely with state and local law enforcement in various parts of the country.
As Corporate Safety and Security Director he re-shaped security policies and procedures for a portfolio of super-regional shopping centers. He developed methods to effectively assess security threats and proactively respond. Mr. Greene managed, trained and certified a proprietary security officer function of over three hundred (300) officers at nineteen (19) properties.
Since 1996 Mr. Greene has worked as an independent security management consultant developing, managing and evaluating public safety functions in a wide variety of venues.
Mr. Greene has been retained as an expert by both defendants and plaintiffs and has analyzed premises security matters involving shopping centers, convenience stores, apartment and office buildings, hotels, parking facilities, banks, concert and sports venues, hospitals, and night clubs. He has been deposed and testified in state and federal courts throughout the country. Mr. Greene has reviewed, analyzed, evaluated and trained security officers and managers. He has managed crowd control at special events. Mr. Greene has consulted across the United States and internationally.
In 2002 Mr. Greene authored “Shopping Center Security – Perception & Reality” and has written a number of other articles for various publications throughout the years. He has been a guest speaker before the NYS Bar Association, U.S. Law Conference, NYS Crime Prevention Coalition, International Council of Shopping Center and a number of other groups.
Mr. Greene is currently a member of the American Society of Industrial Security, the Society of Former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and an Advisory Board Member, Public Administration and Criminal Justice Department for the State University of New York at Brockport, NY.
