Charles A. Sennewald, CMC, CPP is an independent security management consultant and author of five books, Effective Security Management, 4th Ed. 2002, The Process of Investigation, 2nd Ed. 2001, Security Consulting, 3rd Ed. scheduled for release in 2004, Shoplifting, (co-authored) 1992 and Shoplifters vs. Retailers...The Rights of Both, 2000.
Mr. Sennewald was the Director of Security for the Broadway Department Store and was with that firm for 18 years. Prior to this he was Chief of Security for the Claremont Colleges and a deputy sheriff for the County of Los Angeles.
Mr. Sennewald is the founder and first president of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles and the U.S. Army's Military Police School.
He commenced his consulting practice in 1979 and since then has serviced a wide variety of industries, businesses and institutions in various countries.
He has served, both for the plaintiff and the defense, as a consultant and expert witness in numerous security related lawsuits, including issues involving Bars/Lounges/Night Clubs.
