Charles A. Sennewald,CSC, CPO, CPP is an independent security management consultant and author of 21 books, including Effective Security Management, 5th Ed., The Process of Investigation, 3nd Ed., Security Consulting, 4rd Ed. Shoplifting, (co-authored) and Shoplifters vs. Retailers...The Rights of Both. His most recent book is titled From the Files of a Security Expert Witness.
Mr. Sennewald was the Director of Security for the Broadway Department Store and was with that firm for 18 years. Prior to this he was Chief of Security for the Claremont Colleges and a deputy sheriff for the County of Los Angeles.
Mr. Sennewald is the founder and first president of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles and the U.S. Army's Military Police School.
He commenced his consulting practice in 1979 and since then has serviced a wide variety of industries, businesses and institutions in various countries.
He has served, both for the plaintiff and the defense, as a consultant and expert witness in 677 lawsuits, in states across the country.
