Captain Hickey is an expert in maritime safety and navigation. He has over twenty-eight years experience as a Coast Guard officer, with sea assignments ranging from deck watch officer to command of four cutters, including a major high endurance cutter. Captain Hickey is a graduate of the National Search and Rescue School. Other areas of expertise include rules of the road, accident investigation, boating safety, maritime law, boating accident reconstruction, right of way issues and maritime matters.
