Bruce Main, P.E., CSP, is president of Design Safety Engineering, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI. He holds mechanical engineering degrees from MIT and the University of Michigan. Mr. Main specializes in the risk assessment process and companies and attorneys to achieve or evaluate if risks are reduced to an acceptable level. He has authored two books on the risk assessment process and frequently trains engineers and lectures on the subject. He has worked closely with several industries including: packaging machinery, machine tools, robotics, and consumer products. He is a member of several national and international standards committees addressing risk assessment.

Mr. Main is a industry leader in the area of risk assessment. He is an active expert witness in product liability cases and incident investigation.
