Mr. Erickson provides consulting structural engineering services, including investigations of distressed building structures, assessment of structural design errors and construction defects, structural forensics, and structural repair design. He is familiar with a variety of structural construction materials, including steel, concrete, wood and masonry. Mr. Erickson's practice includes building structures and their foundations, temporary shoring and demolition, and seismic evaluations and upgrades. In addition to assisting attorneys, Mr. Erickson provides services to insurers regarding the assessment of claims involving real or perceived structural distress of buildings. His written reports are clear and detailed, suitable for use by both engineers and non-engineers. He has been retained as an expert witness by both defense and plaintiff clients, and is familiar with ADR. Licensed in WA, OR, CA, HI, AK, UT, ID and Yukon Territory.

Mr. Erickson has developed and presented a 16-hour technical seminar regarding an overview of structural steel design for an industrial client that provides heavy equipment to the concrete industry. The seminar was attended by engineers and other technical employees of the client, and the seminar notes are used by the client to train new employees. Mr. Erickson has also developed and presented multiple in-house technical presentation to engineering staff, and engineering presentations to building owners, school boards, church committees and architectural clients.
