Bob R. Tucker has 30 years of investigation experience of any type of an accident that involves a train movement; freight or passenger trains, switch engine/switch crew movements. The first several years of his employment with a major railroad were working initially as a locomotive fireman and locomotive engineer on transcontinental freight or passenger trains. He was promoted to a management position and served on the Operating General Manager's staff, subsequent promotions followed. He was the DIRECTOR OF TRAIN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION GO TEAM whose purpose was to arrive at an accident site and determine the cause and place responsibility. Approximately twenty five percent of his remaining seventeen years of employment was dedicated to the Legal Department where he assisted in preparing cases for settlement or trial. He served as the Expert Witness in trial cases.
During his management years he attended manufacturers schools for Locomotive Design
and Operation, Train Air Brake Systems Design and Operation, FRA Track/Train Standards, FRA Freight and Passenger Car Standards and Locomotive Data Recorder (Black Box)Operation. Since he has left the railroad, he continues to consult and serve as an Expert Witness for attorneys who are involved in railroad related cases.
