A: Your law office will be charged $2,500 per day for on-site visits (trips outside of the FEA, LLC home base) plus expenses. Examples of on-site time include the time involved in reviewing the site of an accident, doing accident reconstruction, or conducting other out-of-town research. On-site time also includes Mr. Uhl participating in depositions and days he is called to court or days in which he is told to appear in court but a court date is suddenly rescheduled. FEA, LLC will charge $250 per hour for legal work conducted by Mr. Uhl at the FEA, LLC home site, such as reviewing material sent to Uhl by your firm. If the opposing counsel fails to pay on time for Uhlís deposition, the counsel who retained Uhl's services will be billed for that cost. Payment for Mr. Uhl's travel time, such as the time required to fly to and from a court appearance, is billed at a discounted rate. We charge $125 per hour, which is half of the normal hourly rate of other expert witness functions. The Ph.D.-level office assistant's time is billed at $35.50 per hour. Copies are billed at 8 cents per page.
