Dr. Bernard T. McNamara

Dr. McNamara's specialties are in Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is licensed to practice Medicine in California since 1978. After finishing a residency in Internal Medicine at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center in 1980, he completed a two year fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Wadsworth VA and UCLA Medical Centers. He is board certified in Internal Medicine since 1980, Infectious Diseases since 1984, and Emergency Medicine since 1987. From 1986 to 1997, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center, working in the HIV/AIDS outpatient and clinical research services. Dr. McNamara is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians, a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians, a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Currently, he practices full time Emergency Medicine at Community & Mission Hospital of Huntington Park, where he is also Medical Director of the Infection Control and Pharmaceutical Committee, and a member of the Emergency Medical Services and Medical Executive Committees.
