Dr. McNamara's specialties are in Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is licensed to practice Medicine in California since 1978, and Washington State since 2002. After finishing a residency in Internal Medicine at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center in 1980, he completed a two year fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Wadsworth VA and UCLA Medical Centers. He is board certified in Internal Medicine since 1980, Infectious Diseases since 1984, and Emergency Medicine since 1987. Since 1986, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center. Dr. McNamara is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians, a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians, a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Professional associations include the Orange County Medical Association, and California Medical Association. Currently, he practices full time Emergency Medicine at Tustin Hospital and Medical Center and Anaheim General Hospital. At Tustin Hospital, he is Medical Director of the Infection Control and Medical Usage Committee, and a member of the Code Blue, Credentials and Medical Executive Committees.
